Pigmentation Correction – Your clients’ summer damage is showing up now

A simple 4-week correction plan you can build into your fall menu.

Every August, the same thing happens. Clients who were fine in June come in asking why their skin looks blotchy, why the spots on their cheeks got darker, and why their makeup isn’t sitting right anymore.

That’s cumulative summer exposure catching up. And it’s the easiest rebook of the year if you have a plan ready.

Why it shows up now

  • Melanin production keeps going for weeks after the exposure that triggered it
  • Dehydrated, sun-stressed skin scatters light unevenly, which reads as dullness
  • Post-inflammatory marks from summer breakouts darken instead of fading
  • Clients stop being consistent with SPF in late summer, right when their skin is most reactive

The 4-week correction framework

  1. Week 1 – Calm and assess. Do not exfoliate aggressively on inflamed skin. Hydrate, reduce heat, take photos in consistent lighting.
  2. Week 2 – Gentle resurfacing. Enzyme or low-percentage acid to clear the dulling surface layer.
  3. Week 3 – Antioxidant loading. This is where the actual brightening happens. Vitamin C in treatment plus daily home care.
  4. Week 4 – Maintain and protect. Reinforce SPF habits and set the rebook for six weeks out.

What we’d pull from the back bar

Menu idea: Package this as a “Summer Recovery Series” — three sessions, prepaid, booked two weeks apart. Prepaid series lock in fall revenue before the slow stretch in September.
