Have you hosted a spa event, yet? This is a great way to attract new comers to your business. It is time to put your thinking hat on and start planning an event. Firstly, think about what your target market will enjoy and what they may be intrigued by to bring them to your establishment. Even if you have no idea, just start somewhere. Learning how to attract new clients is a process and requires you to try new things. You will eventually get the hang of it! Sit down with your team, get creative with themes and ways to promote this upcoming event. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Traditional Open House
This concept has been done for many years now. Your invitees may expect discounts, demos of services, goodie bags and raffle tickets. To make it hassle free you can provide finger foods such as cheese, crackers and fruit along with a drink station. There is no set way to do this. Create the event like you would envision it to run and advertise to let your customers know what to expect from your spa event. When we did our open house, we had a person in each room doing a demo and provided raffle tickets. When a person visited each demo they would receive an extra raffle ticket. This certainly helped create movement in our event and educated customers on what we offered.

Co-Host with a local business
A great way to cross promote with other business clients. Find a neutral space or share your business space. Find a local business to partner with, that would attract the clients you are looking for. Working with other businesses and getting along with your community allows for better referrals by word of mouth.
Online Spa Event
The internet is ingrained into our society so use it to your advantage. Planning a virtual event can make it easier for the client to attend since driving would not be the issue. This type of event can particularly entice people that are not big on open houses or have long working hours and are unable to attend an in-person event. There was a time I had hosted a virtual bingo event on Facebook Live. We talked about skincare, had some laughs and gave clients a chance to win prizes. This allowed us to talk about services and products while also having fun!
When planning your spa event, remember to plan with enough time in mind. Have a schedule set for your invitees, announcements and emails ready to go as reminders. If you have reps and colleagues attending pass along the details of your event to them as well. Have help on hand so it is not overwhelming for you and that way it can run as smoothly as possible. If this is your first event, you can do something small to see how it goes. In the future, you can prepare for a bigger event since you have a better rundown and system planned. Above all, make sure to have fun and create an environment that is friendly and welcoming.
